Acceptance

These Terms of Use govern your use of Kalshj: Probability Board (“Kalshj” or “the App”) and this website. By using the App or website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.

Educational use only

Kalshj provides lessons, public market examples, private forecasting tools, and virtual learning exercises. It is designed to help users understand probability, uncertainty, calibration, and forecasting methods.

Nothing in the App is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Content is not an offer, recommendation, solicitation, or instruction to buy or sell any contract, security, asset, or financial product.

No real-money activity

The App does not accept deposits, process payments, hold funds or assets, connect to exchange accounts, or place real orders. Every position, contract count, balance, result, and performance figure shown in the learning journal is virtual and has no monetary value.

Public data and independence

Live examples are obtained from the public Kalshi market-data API. Market information may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or inaccurate. You should not rely on the App as the sole source of any information.

Kalshj is an independent educational application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Kalshi Inc. “Kalshi” and related marks belong to their respective owners.

License

Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App for lawful, non-commercial educational purposes.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App or website in violation of applicable law or third-party rights
• Interfere with their operation, security, or availability
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or services
• Use automated methods to exceed public API limits or collect data in bulk
• Copy, resell, or commercially redistribute App content or public market data through the App
• Misrepresent Kalshj as an exchange, broker, financial adviser, or service affiliated with Kalshi Inc.

Intellectual property

The App’s original software, interface, illustrations, educational writing, and branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party names, marks, data, and content remain the property of their respective owners.

Availability and changes

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features when necessary. Public data may become unavailable because of network conditions, provider changes, maintenance, or circumstances outside our control.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App, website, educational content, and public data are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, opportunity, profits, or other losses arising from use of or inability to use the App, website, or public data.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those jurisdictions, these limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law.

Governing terms

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, to the extent permitted by law. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the App, website, public data sources, or applicable requirements. The current version and effective date will be published on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
